Housing Adaptation Grant
An OT report is required for an extension, a stairlift, a through-floor lift, a fixed track hoist, or a major change to how a room is used. The local authority may pay up to €300 towards that assessment, or reimburse you the same if the applicant engages you privately.

Capacity is presumed, and it is assessed on the ability to understand at the time the decision is to be made. That makes every capacity report decision-specific and time-specific, and the engine will not let you write it any other way. The Act fully commenced on 26 April 2023.

What can I actually use today?
Seven Irish report types and Irish invoicing. The reports are the Functional Assessment, Progress and Discharge, Home and Environmental Assessment, Moving and Handling Assessment, Equipment and Seating Prescription, Capacity Assessment Record under the ADM Act, and the Housing Adaptation Grant OT report. Which Irish types are still coming?
Mobility aids and appliances, the HSE OT service report and the Assessment of Need report. The clinical research on these is done and they are being wired into the engine and tested one at a time. Join early access and you will be told the moment a type opens.
Will it write an Australian report with Irish words swapped in?
No. Ireland has its own report structures, its own terminology and its own legislation in the engine. CORU rather than AHPRA, PPS rather than an NDIS number, Part M and the Housing Adaptation Grant rules rather than NDIS ones. A converted Australian report is worse than no report, which is why each Irish type is built from Irish sources and tested before it opens.
